Rand Beer blends her background in fashion design with playful, bold artistic expression. Her work incorporates color, pattern, and personality to bring a sense of joy and uplift to those who encounter it – even when they address serious topics.

“Kate Marches” (watercolor gouache with ink) was created in August 2022,  just months after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. 

“My painting was just an acknowledgment of how I resented having to address women’s rights all over again in my 70s as I had done in 1973,”  

 

“When I paint political art, I want to convey my exasperation to persuade someone to get my point of view, but with a smile.”
